I cover a lot of different titles, with some particular attention to the previous runs of "Spider-Man 2099" and "Nova." Welcome back, Richard! Until next time, Miguel.

Red Hood and the Outlaws #16 (HERE BE SPOILERS!)
This issue is a hot mess. No, really. I'm actually OK, in theory, with it not being about Jason and showing us the Outlaws and the Titans addressing a secondary problem related to Joker; "Detective Comics" #16 did essentially the same thing to great effect. I also don't mind Lobdell using it as a way to get Arsenal to realize that he has something to offer beyond just his bow. In fact, Lobdell almost seems to be setting up Arsenal and Starfire absconding to the Titans, a move that would make sense given their histories and really free up this series to focus on Jason, who's always been the main event. But, he handles the characters here so inartfully that it's hard to believe he writes both series. Arsenal's soliloquies about science make him sound more like Batman and his narration is almost devoid of personality, written solely to move us through recollections and bridge action sequences. Moreover, Wonder Girl is almost unrecognizable and Bunker is portrayed as much more full of doubt than he usually is. I could continue, but, seriously, you just need to know that it was a hot mess and be thankful if you skipped it.
